most infamous director would ultimately
take home the prize for Best Canadian
film at the 2002 Toronto International
Film Festival, beating out Adam Egoyen's
"Ararat".
Prior to receiving the
award, the master of the macabre was all
smiles strolling down the red carpet to
talk to the press at the North American
