We had the opportunity to meet up with
Barbara Carrera at her premiere
of her paintings titled "
Hollywood
Legends." The collection
of paintings are of film icons Carrera
has co-starred with or who have otherwise
inspired her.
Internationally known for her
Fatima
Blush role in the James Bond thriller
"
Never Say Never Again"
and as a star of other film and television
shows, Carrera's oil paintings are vibrant,
larger-than-life sized portraits of more
than 20 movie luminaries, all of which
capture her subjects' inner humanity and
outer charisma.
Also a television star and top model who
has appeared on the cover of more than
300 magazines, Carrera has been painting
since the 1980s. While her work has appeared
in solo gallery exhibits in the U.S. and
Europe, and her paintings are notable
private collections, their appearance
at Hollywood Entertainment Museum has
been the first in the museum setting.

The stars of "Hollywood Legends"
include Sean Connery, her James Bond nemesis,
Bette Davis, Paul Newman, Rock Hudson,
Grace Kelly, Humphrey Bogart, Greta Garbo,
Audrey Hepburn, Clark Gable, Gary Cooper,
Cary Grant, Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth
Taylor, and Vivien Leigh.
